This Sunday (10 Aprill 2011) was such a special day. The actual, original, Swallow from the film "Swallows and Amazons" was re-launched on Coniston Water after being rescued from a life of deriliction in a boatyard and lovingly restored. I just HAD to be at this event, in fact to do so I had to "sleep rough" on Saturday night as every spare bed in Coniston was taken by all the people arriving to see not only this event but also the "Coniston 14" an annual running race right round the lake, 14 miles. However sleeping rough was quite an adventure in itself as I went up to an old semi-derelict stone cottage in the woods, named by Arthur Ransome
Wow I can't believe it's a week since I last wrote anything. Such a full week, I went to get a nice used car down in Exeter and drove it back here the next day, and I've been really slugging at it in the gym, I do four days each week. Having a good relaxing time tonight.
I've been trying to find a photo as an example, and I found one, your name "Boxingdan" reminds me of a 19th century boxer: [link] The moustache wearing bare knuckle brawler It gives me an idea for a photo

Hello there thank you very much for the fav. I muat say that your bullet looks wonderful, a real beauty! I love the name too. Is there a story behind it?
Well the bike is really Cleopatra the second. Cleopatra the first was a car that I jointly owned with my father, it was the Prototype Alvis TD21 which had a hand built body. The car was called Cleopatra as it was a shining blue, like Cleopatra's eyes. My father had helped me with getting the bike together, both with encouragement and financial help. Shortly after that he died, which was when I decided to call the bike Cleopatra in his honour.
